Why are they perfect for Christmas?
The small Christmas trees provide a natural and cozy look that fits perfectly with Nordic Christmas decorations. They are ideal as table decorations, on a shelf, or on the windowsill – and you can make them in different sizes for an extra decorative effect.
Materials you will need
- Egg cartons
- Green paint
- Paint with gold glitter or glitter glue
- Cotton ball
- Small stars for the top
- Gold-colored wire
- Twig pieces for trunks
- Bark pieces for the base
- Glue gun or craft glue
- Scissors
- Small white beads
Step-by-step guide to the Christmas trees
- Cut the egg carton: Cut out four cone-shaped pieces – two for each tree.
- Paint the tree: Give the cones a coat of green paint and let them dry. Paint with gold glitter all the way around the edge. Let it dry.
- Assemble the tree: Place a small cotton ball in the top cone and glue the two cones together on top of each other; this will give you the height for the Christmas tree.
- Decorate: Glue the small white beads randomly all the way around the Christmas tree as ornaments.
- Make the trunk: Use a small twig as a trunk and glue it onto a piece of bark. You will need plenty of glue! Let it dry completely.
- Mount the tree: Place a small cotton ball under the bottom cone of the Christmas tree along with the trunk. Glue everything firmly in place.
- Top with a star: Cut a 5 cm long piece of wire. Attach it to the star. Ours were made of wood, so we just pressed it on. Bend the wire into a few circles so it gets a fun, cozy shape. Glue the end of the wire onto the top of the Christmas tree.
- Let it dry: Once the glue is dry, your Christmas trees are ready to adorn your holiday home.

Tips for varying the look
- Use silver glitter for a frosty look.
- Add small beads in other colors as "ornaments."
- Create an entire forest of trees in different sizes.
