DIY: Make your own balloon bouquet out of boiled eggs

Here is a fun and simple DIY idea that gives your Easter decorations a brand-new twist. Instead of traditional eggs on a plate, you can make a little "balloon bouquet" of boiled eggs – a project that is both playful, decorative, and perfect for those who love creative details in the kitchen.

The beautiful orange yolks provide a natural pop of color, and
it takes almost nothing to make – but looks absolutely fantastic!

You will need

  • Regular boiled eggs (soft-boiled or jammy for the visual cut)
  • String, floral wire, or skewers
  • Sharp knife
  • A hand or small base for presentation
  • Optionally a plate, platter, or a large cutting board

How to do it

  1. Boil the eggs and let them cool slightly.
  2. Cut them in half so the yolk faces outward like “balloons”.
  3. Attach each egg half to a piece of string or floral wire.
  4. Gather all the strings in your hand or tie them together – and then you have your own egg balloon bouquet!

Tip

Use the bouquet as fun table decor or to spice up a DIY Easter guide. You can also combine eggs with different boiling times to get variety in the look, or use differently colored eggs.
